About me

Hello! My name is Aizzing (pronounced as icing  yes, that sweet creamy glaze of frosting on top of your favorite cake) and I'm a booknerd and full time Pinay media dork currently based in Dubai, who eats paperbacks and candy-colored shoes for breakfast. I've been married for almost two years to the nice guy I dated for over seven years. He also shares my passion for traveling, good food, and films so you'll be seeing him a lot in this space too.

Icing & Write is my online vision board, lifestyle and travel diary  a collection of pretty things, sweet dreams, and wonderful people who inspire me, along with colorful sneak peeks of my globe-trotting adventures and daily life in the desert. Posts are focused mainly on three things: beauty, books, and places, which are basically what I am most passionate about.

I've been online for as long as I can remember and have kept several blogs for just as long. I started pouring my thoughts over several blogging platforms such as Geocities, Blogdrive, Wordpress, Multiply, and also LiveJournal when I was still a teenager. But after making the big move from Manila to Dubai sometime in 2011, I wanted a new place online where I can post about my daily adventures here in the Middle East for my family and friends to read back home. That's when I decided to start anew with Icing and Write. From posting merely about my brandnew life here in the desert to my noob attempts with baking, this blog has become my creative outlet and eventually evolved into what it is now.

You can email me or connect with me through Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, and Instagram.

As of 20th March 2018, I have stopped accepting all forms of paid sponsorship and collaborations. I have decided to go back to my roots and bring back the fun into this space by posting at my own pace and writing solely about the things I love with an honest voice. My goal is to focus on making this space my creative outlet as it should be, improve my writing, and hopefully come up with a blog that my older self and possible kids will be happier to read in the future.

Thank you to all the amazing brands and bloggers I have had the chance to work with all these years.
