Product Review: Maybelline Fit Me Anti Shine Foundation Stick

When I ran out of my favorite Maybelline Dream BB Fresh couple of months ago, I rediscovered a Maybelline Fit Me Anti Shine Foundation Stick still unopened from the bottom pile of my makeup drawer. Randomly picked this out on a 50% discount ages ago from Carrefour and totally forgot about its existence, and I had no clue at all how surprisingly good this product is!

This is like a BB cream, with better coverage, and minus all the mess. This foundation is perfect for those days you want to strut a flawless face, but without looking too made up. It incredibly hides blemishes, with your skin still looking like skin. And since this is from the drugstore, the price tag of the Maybelline Fit Me Anti Shine Foundation Stick is a lot friendlier compared to other foundations. It actually retails for just around 61 Dirhams. Win!

The product itself has this so-called anti-shine powder core in the middle which claims to instantly dissolve excess oil, so it blends into a natural matte finish. While this stick foundation is best suited for oily skin, I think those with dry skin can still use this with just a little prep of moisturizer or a hydrating primer underneath. Coverage can be built up to a medium and the product amazingly feels lightweight on the skin.

Maybelline recommends to just use your fingertips to blend this foundation, but I still prefer using my multi-purpose and cutesy Kabuki Babe Brush to achieve better coverage. Using a damp sponge is okay too if you want to achieve a super natural look and when you don't mind a more sheered out finish. Whatever floats your boat of course. :)

The Natural Beige shade is perfect for my Pinay skin tone and they also have a good range of shades available for this foundation to fit a variety of skin tone. Although in my own experience, stock availability might be an issue as I struggled to find a new one from stores. It's also pretty long-wearing, and that's saying a lot considering how cruel Dubai's summer heat is right now. Really impressed with its staying power.

This is actually the first time for me to use a product from Maybelline's well-raved Fit Me line and now I'm tempted to give the others a go too. Not a fan of liquid foundation, so maybe the concealer next?

Are you also a fan of the brand Maybelline?
What other Maybelline products are you loving?
