Just a little pick me up on a Monday

Happy Monday everyone! How are you guys doing?

I have been experiencing one tough week after another which is why I haven't been online as much I would have wanted to lately. But that's all water under the bridge now. I kept on saying that there's gotta be a rainbow behind all those clouds and true enough, looks like I'm looking at a better future once the next two weeks are over. Finally! The power of words and positive thinking working at its finest indeed!

Anyway, I've saved and collected quite a few lovely things from all over once again, so in the tradition of Monday favorites, I'm sharing them today to hopefully add a little dose of pretty and inspiration to your day too.

This photo reminds me of my upcoming 27th birthday. Yes, somebody's getting so old. Taking five days off work starting tomorrow (yay), but will most likely celebrate alone at home. Oh, the perks of living abroad! :(

This adorable little kitty will be me in a few days (I hope). Finally getting my first ever pair of eyeglasses. It still bugs me that I no longer have perfect eyesight though. :(

Random pretty overload won't hurt anyone

Is Monday a bummer or what? Raise your hands if you also struggled parting with the duvet early this morning. I couldn't be the only one! It's one of those weird "blah days" again when my bed feels a little bit more comfortable than usual that I'm almost tempted to call it a day off. If not for a new pair of candy-colored shoes, I'm so certain I would have stayed up in bed. I knew I bought this gorgeous flats for a reason! :)

I hate to admit this, but yes, sometimes pretty things do make me happy and they help me get up during tough mornings such as today. So with this,  I decided to play favorites today because I could really use some more inspiration. Here's some of my recent pretty favorites for added inspiration to hopefully shake our Monday blues away:

I really enjoy compiling lists like this one. "My day" does sound much more promising and positive than plain "Monday", doesn't it? Now I'm gonna grab myself a cup of coffee and claim this day mine. Random Booknerd Dreams

With all the free time I have this Ramadan, my goal to read atleast 26 books before I turn 27 this December is looking pretty good and I couldn't get any prouder with my progress. I've been reading non-stop and enjoying the down time so much. I think I'll have to replenish my reading list soon with new book titles. :)

The increasing hype over the book Fifty Shades of Grey got me a little curious to give it a go. Just not sure if it's available here since I read somewhere that the book is apparently banned here in Dubai. Did anyone of you read it already? How did you find it?

Strawberry love post that's too cute not to share

This weekend has been such a sweet one. Finished a book, woke up to a classic pancake breakfast, and got to hang out with a couple of friends. So relaxing! Exactly what I needed after a hectic week at work. We also went to the grocery this afternoon and found the biggest and freshest bunch of strawberries on sale. They tasted so superb and sadly, lasted for only less than thirty minutes. So in memory of those awesome strawberries, here are some pretty inspiring strawberry photos from all over. Random fancy for the weirdos and the curious

I am actually feeling a bit under the weather today, but I'm too workaholic to call it a day off at work. I was having so much fun all weekend that I didn't realize I almost had no time to rest and recharge myself at all for this work week. So while I nurse this mild fever and headache with some coffee, Panadol, and lots of paperworks, let me share with you what have caught my fancy lately.

We're all mature until someone brings out the bubble wrap. :)
